Terms of Service

LawDesk — Practice Management for Pakistani Advocates

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using LawDesk. By creating an account or accessing any part of the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

LawDesk is a practice management platform operated by FABXERS, accessible at lawdesk.com.pk and app.lawdesk.com.pk.

1.

Definitions

In these Terms of Service, the following terms have the meanings given below:

  • "LawDesk" refers to the platform, website, and all services operated at lawdesk.com.pk and app.lawdesk.com.pk
  • "We", "Us", "Our" refers to FABXERS, the operator of LawDesk
  • "You", "User" refers to any advocate, law firm member, or authorized person who accesses or uses LawDesk
  • "Account" refers to the registered profile you create to access LawDesk
  • "Firm" refers to a law firm or group practice set up under a LawDesk Firm or Enterprise plan
  • "Content" refers to any data, documents, case records, client information, or files you upload or generate within LawDesk
  • "AI Features" refers to AI-powered tools within LawDesk including hearing summaries, document drafts, and conflict checking, powered by Google Gemini
2.

Eligibility

To use LawDesk, you must:

  • Be a licensed advocate enrolled with a recognized Bar Council in Pakistan, or an authorized employee or clerk of such an advocate or law firm
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement on behalf of yourself or your firm

By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where eligibility requirements are not met.

3.

Account Registration and Responsibility

3.1 Account Creation

You must provide a valid email address, your full name, phone number, and Bar Council enrollment number during registration. You may also sign up using Google OAuth.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your password with anyone. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, notify us immediately at [email protected].

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to keep your account information accurate and up to date. Providing false information, including a fabricated Bar Council enrollment number, is grounds for immediate account termination.

3.4 One Account Per User

Each individual user may maintain only one active account. Duplicate accounts are not permitted.

4.1 Billing

Subscription fees are billed monthly. Payments are processed via Stripe. All prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). Stripe handles card data directly and we do not store your full payment details.

4.2 Upgrades and Downgrades

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

4.3 Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of the charge.

4.4 Plan Limits

Features and limits are enforced per plan. If your usage exceeds Free plan limits (5 cases), you will be prompted to upgrade. We will not delete your data if you downgrade, but access to features beyond your plan limit will be restricted until you upgrade again.

4.5 Suspension for Non-Payment

If a payment fails, we will notify you by email. If payment is not completed within 7 days, your account may be suspended until payment is resolved. Your data will not be deleted during this period.

5.

Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

LawDesk is designed exclusively for legal practice management. You may use it to manage client information, case records, hearing dates, documents, billing, and team tasks related to your legal practice in Pakistan.

5.2 Prohibited Use

You must not use LawDesk to:

  • Store or process data unrelated to legal practice
  • Upload unlawful, defamatory, or harmful content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform
  • Circumvent plan limits through technical means
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized persons
  • Use the platform to send unsolicited communications
  • Impersonate another advocate, firm, or person
  • Violate any applicable law of Pakistan or international law

Violation of any of the above may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

6.

Client Data and Confidentiality

6.1 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the client data, case files, and documents you enter into LawDesk. As an advocate, you are bound by professional confidentiality obligations under the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act, 1973 and applicable professional conduct rules. LawDesk does not assume any obligation arising from your professional duties to your clients.

6.2 Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all client data and case content you upload or create within LawDesk. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

6.3 Our Access

We access your data only to the extent necessary to provide the service, including technical support, bug fixing, and service improvements. We do not access your case content for any commercial purpose.

7.

AI Features

7.1 Nature of AI Output

LawDesk uses Google Gemini to generate hearing summaries, legal document drafts (Vakalatnama, Affidavit, Power of Attorney, Bail Application), and other AI-assisted content.

AI-generated content is provided as a starting point only. It is not legal advice. It may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

7.2 Your Responsibility to Review

You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated output before use. Do not file, submit, or serve any AI-generated document without independently verifying its accuracy, completeness, and legal correctness. LawDesk and FABXERS accept no liability for consequences arising from the use of unreviewed AI-generated content.

7.3 No Attorney-Client Relationship

LawDesk is a practice management tool. Nothing within the platform constitutes legal advice to you or your clients.

8.

Firm Accounts and Team Members

8.1 Firm Administrator Responsibilities

If you create a Firm account, you are the firm administrator. You are responsible for managing team members, assigning roles, and ensuring that all members of your firm comply with these Terms of Service.

8.2 Team Member Access

Firm administrators may invite team members with the following roles: Admin, Advocate, or Clerk. Each role carries different access permissions as defined within the platform. Clerks have read-only access to case data and cannot create or delete records.

8.3 Removing Team Members

You may remove team members from your firm at any time. Removed members immediately lose access to firm data. Their individual account, if any, remains active but is no longer associated with your firm.

8.4 Shared Data

All cases and client data created within a Firm account are accessible to the firm administrator and authorized firm members per their assigned roles. You acknowledge this shared access when inviting team members.

9.

Document Storage

Documents uploaded to LawDesk are stored securely in private cloud storage. They are accessible only to the account that uploaded them and, where applicable, to authorized firm members. We do not make your documents publicly accessible.

Document storage is subject to fair use limits per plan. We reserve the right to introduce storage limits with 30 days advance notice.

10.

Notifications and Reminders

LawDesk sends hearing reminders via push notifications and SMS. These are a convenience feature only. You must not rely solely on LawDesk reminders to track court dates. We accept no liability for missed hearings, adverse orders, or any legal consequences arising from a reminder not being delivered for any reason including network issues, device settings, or service outages.

11.

Intellectual Property

11.1 Our Property

LawDesk, its design, source code, features, branding, and all content produced by us are the intellectual property of FABXERS. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.

11.2 Your Content

You retain all intellectual property rights in the content you upload or create within LawDesk. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you.

11.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or feature requests, we may use them to improve LawDesk without any obligation to compensate you.

12.

Availability and Uptime

We aim to keep LawDesk available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The platform may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, unexpected outages, third-party infrastructure failures, or events beyond our control. We will notify users of planned downtime in advance where possible.

We do not offer a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA) on any plan except Enterprise, where uptime terms are agreed separately.

13.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • LawDesk and FABXERS are not liable for any loss of client, adverse court order, professional sanction, or other legal consequence arising from your use of the platform
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use LawDesk
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for any loss resulting from a reminder not being delivered, an AI-generated document containing errors, or data loss caused by third-party infrastructure

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Pakistani law.

14.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FABXERS, its directors, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or damage (including legal costs) arising from your use of LawDesk, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.

15.

Account Termination

15.1 Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time from account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be purged within 30 days except where retention is required by law (such as billing records, retained for 7 years).

15.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to the platform or other users. We may also terminate accounts on plans with prolonged non-payment after notice.

15.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to LawDesk ends immediately. You are responsible for exporting any data you need before termination. We are not liable for any loss arising from account termination.

16.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will change. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of LawDesk after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.

17.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of LawDesk shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.
